As part of the subdivisional design work for the new Coles Byford subdivisional development, Serling Consulting handled the design and construction management of the largest skewed 45o box culvert in WA. At almost 50m in length and 4 barrels (each barrel 2.4m wide by 1.5m high) wide, the culvert can handle more the 30m3/s in a 100 year event. The culvert is included as part of Serling Consulting’s realignment of existing Beenyup Brook and encompassed a purposely designed balustrading to harmonise with the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s environment and architectural guidelines.

Award of Detailed Civil Design for Abernethy Road, Byford: Soldiers Road to South Western Highway

In June 2016 Serling Consulting tendered on and won the Detailed Civil Design for Abernethy Road, Byford between Soldiers Road to South Western Highway under the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale. This short section of road is known as ‘Byford’s Artery’ and will call on Serling Consulting’s previous experience in large box culvert design and liaison with the PTA to upgrade the existing rail crossing as well as MRWA for the tie into South Western Highway.

In July 2016 Serling Consulting completed the Stage 2 upgrade of Dodd Group’s Scrap Metal Yard on Dundas Road, Forrestfield. This involved adding an additional 2,000m²  of high tonnage axel loading concrete slab to Dodd’s yard to enable the metal recyclers to improve recycling logistics and handling.
